With the superbowl coming up, I had to create a delicious wing recipe to celebrate the occasion. To be honest, I am really over the standard wing flavors. Don’t get me wrong… I love buffalo, seasoned, honey hot, and honey gold wings, but it’s time for a new wing flavor. This zing wing is a wonderful combination of so many wing flavors before! One thing I love about these is that they are sweet, spicy, salty, and juicy! The perfect combination of wings! I hope you love them as much as we did!

- Gallon Ziplock Bag
- Cookie Sheet
- Parchment Paper
- Silicone Brush
Ingredients for this recipe:
- Chicken Wings
- Miso Soybean Paste
- Soy Sauce
- Brown Sugar
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Garlic Chili Paste (optional)
Marinating the Wings:
Marinating the wings ahead of time is so important! This ensures that they have even flavoring and that the zing seeps further than skin deep. I typically try to marinate my wings for at least an hour. But if your tight on time, 30 minutes will work too! But remember the longer the better. Even overnight is great!

Zing Wings

For a little less zing, you can add less chili garlic sauce or omit it all together.
Ingredients
- 24 large Chicken Wings
- 2 tbsp Miso Soybean Paste
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
- 4 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2 tsp Ginger, minced
- 2 tsp Garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Garlic Chili Paste (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400º. In a small bowl, mix the soybean paste, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and garlic chili paste.
- Put all of the wings into a gallon zip lock bag and pour the mixture over the chicken wings. Allow the wings to sit in the mixture for at least 30 minutes to an hour to marinate.
- Pour the wings out on a parchment line baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the chicken wings for 40 minutes. Halfway through cooking take them out and brush any excess liquid from the wings over the top of the wings with a silicone brush.
- Once the wings are nicely browned, take them out of the oven and serve with your favorite dipping sauce!
