Tacos are my favorite food any time of year! They are just delicious and somewhat easy (depending on what you’re making). You’ll notice tacos are featured on my blog pretty frequently. This is honestly because I am a teacher and making something quick and easy on a weeknight is a must for me and my schedule. That’s why these Mahi Mahi tacos are a must for just about anyone! They also have very minimal ingredients! They are easy, quick, delicious, and low in calories. It’s the perfect dish for a weeknight, a taco Tuesday, or any night! Trust me, you will want to try these!
Equipment for this recipe:
- Frying Pan
- Medium Bowl
- Spatula
Ingredients for this recipe:
- Tortillas (corn, flour, or Siete Brand Almond Flour or Cassava Flour work great)
- Mahi Mahi
- Cilantro
- Limes
- Can of Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies
- Red Onion
- Jalapeño
- Tomato
- Salt
- Chili Powder
- Cumin
- Cotija Cheese
Variations:
Cheese Variations- Cotija Cheese is a strong cheese, if you would like something milder you could do a mild white cheddar or mozzarella.
Spicier Taco- Add another diced jalapeño to your pico de gallo. Also, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the Mahi Mahi before cooking for even more spicy deliciousness!
Milder Taco- Omit the Jalapeño from the Pico De Gallo.

Ingredients
- 8 Tortillas (flour, corn, or Siete Almond Flour tortillas)
- 1 lb of mahi mahi
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp cotija cheese
- •
- Pico De Gallo:
- 1 15 oz. can of diced tomatoes with green chilis
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 red onion, diced
- 1 jalepeño, diced
- 1 bunch of cilantro, minced
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- First, dice your tomato, red onion, jalepeño, and cilantro. Combine all of the ingredients for your pico de gallo and set aside.
- Preheat a frying pan over medium high heat and add olive oil to the pan.
- While your pan is preheating, cut your mahi mahi into 1/2 inch strips. Sprinkle the lime juice, chili powder, cumin, and salt onto the mahi mahi. Cook the mahi mahi for 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Heat your tortillas and serve your mahi mahi inside with pico de gallo and cotija cheese. Serve while hot!
