Ya’ll I know summer is over, but I had to do one last summery taco recipe BECAUSE I just found out I am going to Mexico for Fall Break which is also me and my husbands one year anniversary! Yay! I mean… I feel like that calls for a little taco celebration! I promise after this I will stick strictly to the fall recipes! Hehe! BUT SERIOUSLY?! CAN YOU EVER GO WRONG WITH A GOOD TACO?? I literally don’t think it’s possible. I think this is why my love for tacos is seriously undeniable. I really love that tacos aren’t extremely expensive to make either! Seriously they are so easy!
Equipment for this recipe:
- Cast Iron Pan
- Baking Dish
- Knife
- Cutting Board
Ingredients for this recipe:
- Flank Steak
- Tortillas (flour, corn, or Siete Almond Flour)
- Mayo
- Wasabi Paste
- Slaw
- Cilantro
- ABC Sweet Soy Sauce
- Garlic Cloves
- Salt
- Pepper
Substitutions:
If you don’t have ABC Sweet Soy Sauce, you can always use regular soy sauce with brown sugar or a sugar substitute, like golden monk fruit sugar.
If you are gluten free, you can use Tamari instead of soy sauce. This is a great Substitute for Soy Sauce! Also, make sure to use corn or almond flour tortillas! Also, make sure the wasabi paste you buy is gluten free!

Ingredients
- 8 Tortillas (flour, corn, or Siete Brand Almond Flour)
- 1 Flank Steak
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup Mayo
- 2 tsp wasabi paste
- 1 tbsp milk
- 3 tbsp ABC Sweet Soy Sauce
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 5 oz. cabbage, shredded (I just buy the packs of slaw and throw out the dressing)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Marinate your steak in the ABC Soy Sauce and minced garlic for at least 20 minutes. If you can marinate overnight it will help with the tenderness and flavor of the flank steak, but it is not necessary.
- In a small bowl, combine wasabi paste, mayo, and milk and stir until well blended.
- Preheat a large cast iron pan on medium high heat. Add olive oil to the pan. Then, add your marinated steak to the hot pan. Cook on each side for 10 minutes or until your desired steak temperature is reached.
- Allow the steak to rest for five minutes and then cut into strips.
- Assemble your tacos, by adding a tablespoon of slaw, a strip of steak, sesame seeds, and wasabi aioli. Eat while warm!
