PESTO! Can you ever go wrong with it? You can basically put it on anything. It pairs well with tomatoes, cheese, crackers, veggies, pasta, and soooo many other things.
Lately, my favorite thing has been tomatoes from my garden with a small slice of mozzarella. Yup you got it, caprese salad with pesto instead of just plain basil! Ahhh so good!
Another thing I love pesto for is just a plain ole dippin sauce. Cooked veggies are delicious to dip in pesto! My favorite fondue veggie dipper is PESTO! Pesto is so versatile! I hope you love this recipe!
2 cups of basil
1/2 cup olive oil
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 cup of pine nuts
Juice of half a lemon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Put all of the ingredients into a food processor, except the olive oil. Blend all of the ingredients and slowly pour in the olive oil until you reach desired consistency. Add more salt or pepper to taste. Enjoy!
