I love anything with crispy cheese all over it… doesn’t everyone?? These delicious and crispy sweet potatoes are easy to make and they are the perfect appetizer or side item to just about any dish. During the fall, I LOVE sweet potatoes all the time and these are my favorite to make for a big crowd or for just my husband and I. They are simple with just 5 easy ingredients and they pop right into the oven for an easy side item or a quick appetizer. For an appetizer they are great to dip in sour cream! Appetizers or side items like this are always a good idea because they help to curb cravings! They offer a crunchy, salty, cheesy flavor that are usually the source of most of our snacking. If you are craving chips, these are a great alternative to try!
Equipment for this recipe:
- Cookie Sheet
- Parchment Paper
- Oven
- Knife
- Microwave
Ingredients for this recipe:
- Sweet Potatoes
- Butter
- Parmesan Cheese
- Garlic Cloves
- Cilantro
Substitutions:
Cheese- Parmesan is a very strong cheese, you could always switch this out for a milder cheese like mozzarella. If you would just like a different flavor, you could try out goat cheese as well.
Potato- You can also try this out with regular potatoes as well! They are delicious too!
Storage and reheating:
To store these sweet potatoes, put them in an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat these, do not put them in the microwave. It will make them rubbery. Instead reheat them in the oven or a toaster oven on 300º for 8 minutes.

I LOVE these!! I did mine in the air fryer for 7 minutes on one side and 4 minutes on the other side at 360 degrees. My kids even loved these!!
So glad you love them! So glad they are kiddo approved!
