This recipe is so simple and it’s one of our favorites! It is great for all of my gluten free friends that miss eating chick-fil-a nuggets or sandwiches! Ingredients for this recipe:
- Chicken Breasts
- Almond Flour
- Xanthan Gum
- Paprika
- Salt
- Pepper
- Cayenne Pepper
- Pickle Juice
- Pickles
- Eggs
- Peanut Oil or Avocado Oil
- Mayo
- Garlic Cloves
- Lemon Juice
Variations:
Spicy Chicken Sandwich- To make a spicy chicken sandwich, instead of dipping the chicken in an egg wash, dip it in a hot sauce wash. Just put hot sauce in a bowl and dip it in that first, then dip it in the almond flour mixture.
Delux Chicken Sandwich- To make this sandwich a deluxe sandwich, add your favorite slice of cheese and then lettuce and tomato! Delicious!

Gluten Free Copycat Chick-Fil-A Sandwiches with Garlic Aioli
Ingredients
- 6 gluten free buns
- 3 Large chicken breasts, halved
- 2 cups almond flour
- 1 tbsp Xanthan Gum
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 cup pickle juice
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups peanut oil or avocado oil
- 1 cup mayo
- Juice from 1 lemon
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- Pickle chips as topping (as many as desired)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine almond flour, xanthan gum, paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Cut chicken breasts in half and soak in pickle juice for at least 20 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk eggs together for an egg wash.
- In a large frying pan, preheat your oil over medium high heat.
- Coat each halved chicken breast in egg and then in the flour mixture. Put the chicken directly into the hot oil and cook until it reaches an internal temperature of 165º. Make sure to brown all sides.
- While the chicken is cooking, combine mayo, lemon juice, and garlic and blend with an immersion blender. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Build your sandwich with 2 tbsp of aioli, 2 pickles, and your chicken on a gluten free bun! ENJOY!
