Jalapeño Poppers and mine and my best friend’s favorite food ever! We are constantly making them when we have dinner parties or hang out together! Recently, I decided I was going to try and create new and different jalapeño poppers and so I began with this simple recipe switch up! I plan on creating more variations of the recipe in the future and I will add them to the blog very soon! For now, this recipe is my first Jalapeño Popper variation recipe and let me just say… it is SO GOOD! It’s spicy, tangy, creamy, salty, and sweet! ALL the flavor profiles are happening here. I think I love jalapeño poppers for this very reason. It’s like an all in one appetizer! You get a lot of flavor and they are relatively easy to create!
Equipment for this recipe:
- Knife
- Cutting Board
- Spoon
- Grill or Oven
- Aluminum Foil
- Small bowl
Ingredients for this recipe:
- Jalapeños
- Pimento Cheese (homemade or store bought)
- Bacon
- Tamarind Paste
- Honey
- Thai Chili Garlic Sauce
Variations:
Spicier- If you would like spicier (I will warn you these are already pretty spicy) jalapeños, all you need to do is leave some seeds in before you stuff them with the pimento cheese.
Milder- If you would like a milder jalapeño popper, make sure you completely deseed the jalapeño and you can also omit the Thai Chili Garlic Sauce as well!

Ingredients
- 12 jalapeños, halved and deseeded
- 1/2 cup pimento cheese
- 12 strips of bacon
- 2 tbsp tamarind paste
- 1/2 tbsp Thai chili garlic sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
Instructions
- Preheat a grill or oven to 350º.
- Half your jalapeños and deseed them.
- Stuff your halved jalapeños with pimento cheese and then wrap them in a half piece of bacon.
- Place your jalapeños on the grill or in the oven on top of a piece of aluminum foil (these will drip if you don’t).
- While the jalapeños are cooking, in a small bowl, combine tamarind paste, thai chili garlic sauce and honey.
- With the sauce you can do one of two things: you can either baste it over the jalapeños while they cook or you can use it as a dipping sauce! Either way is tasty!
- The jalapeño poppers are done when the bacon is cooked and the jalapeños are soft.
